Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic to join a well-established agricultural operation based in Katherine, Northern Territory.
 
This is a long-term position for a capable and reliable tradesperson who enjoys variety and takes pride in keeping machinery operating safely and efficiently.
 
You will work across a broad range of agricultural machinery and equipment. The successful applicant must be comfortable working as part of a team while also having the confidence and initiative to complete tasks autonomously.
 
The Role

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing agricultural machinery and equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing repairs
• Carrying out preventative maintenance
• Attending to breakdowns as required
• Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records
• Ensuring machinery is kept safe, reliable and operational
• Working collaboratively with the wider team
• Managing assigned tasks independently when required

About You
To be considered, you must:

• Be a trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic
• Have experience servicing and repairing agricultural or heavy machinery
• Possess strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Be able to work effectively within a team
• Be confident working autonomously
• Have a practical approach and strong attention to detail
• Be reliable, safety-conscious and well organised
• Hold a current driver's licence
