Nature Play Coordinator

The Nurso – Chandler, Brisbane

The Nurso is looking for a warm, creative and energetic Nature Play Coordinator to create engaging outdoor sessions for young children and their families.

Our Nature Play program encourages children to explore, create, get messy and connect with the natural world. Activities may include gardening, sensory play, nature crafts, imaginative play, movement, stories and simple outdoor adventures.

Important note: This role is only for 7:30am-9:30 Mondays to Fridays.

You will be responsible for:

• Planning and running fun, age-appropriate Nature Play sessions

• Welcoming families and creating a friendly, inclusive environment

• Setting up and packing down activities

• Developing fresh ideas using plants, natural materials and seasonal themes

• Keeping play areas clean, organised and safe

• Promoting positive and respectful behaviour

• Communicating confidently with parents and caregivers

• Assisting with children’s workshops, school-holiday activities and special events

• Helping with light café or general venue duties when required

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Genuinely enjoy working with young children

• Are confident leading groups and speaking with families

• Are creative, playful, patient and reliable

• Enjoy being outdoors and aren’t afraid of a little mess

• Can work independently and take ownership of the program

• Have strong organisation and communication skills

• Are available on weekday mornings, with occasional school-holiday or weekend work

Experience in early childhood education, teaching, recreation, children’s programs, art, gardening or outdoor education would be highly regarded.

• A current Working with Children Blue Card, or willingness to obtain one

• Availability to work at our Chandler location

• Previous experience working with outdoor activities/child-based learning
