About the role
Role Description
Our client is seeking a Building Surveyor / Building Regulations Consultant to join their team. The opportunity is perfect for someone who would like to grow with the company, or excel with your current expertise, having a clear career path, earn a competitive salary, and learn from your peers. In this busy hands-on role, you will provide BCA, Access, and Passive Fire consultancy and Certification to a broad range of clients, providing solutions, and building strong professional relationships. This is a very client-focused consultancy, aiming to provide the best service across NSW as well as working in a casual, friendly, and non-judgmental working environment.
This is a full-time on-site role, and you will be required to work from the office 5 days a week (hybrid working arrangements will be considered after your probation period).
Qualifications
A degree in building surveying, access consulting qualifications, or equivalent is preferred.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a BCA Consultant, Access Consultant, Passive Fire technician, Building Certifier, or similar role. Ability to write BCA and Access reports.
Understanding the Building Code of Australia (BCA), Premises Standards, AS1428.1, etc.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with relevant software applications. Experience with Blue Beam is desirable.
Must be Australian citizen or permanent resident; or have Australian work rights.
