About the Company
For over 135 years Wormald has been providing fire protection throughout Australia, protecting lives and property. Wormald has been designing, installing and servicing fire protection systems since 1889 and is an industry leader in providing fire protection solutions, with an excellent reputation and firmly established brand.
About the Role
Due to continued growth, a great opportunity now exists for an experienced individual with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our North Coast team as a Multi-Skilled Fire Technician. This is a permanent, full-time position and the successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, testing and repairs of Fire Equipment in accordance with Australian Standards, attending to our major clients in the Port Macquarie area and the surrounding region.
The role will require the successful applicant to be able to plan, organize and have excellent time management skills. The applicant must be able to work autonomously as well as demonstrate versatility and support within a team environment.
Primary duties will include:-
Maintenance and repair of fire protection equipment to Australian Standards including but not limited to, fire extinguishers, hose reels, smoke alarms and fire panels
Routine testing in accordance with Australian Standards for fire protection equipment
Liaising with customers, promoting a professional and friendly environment
Ensuring compliance to Environmental Health and Safety requirements
Completing service records using smart device technology
Key qualities we are looking for include, but are not limited to:
Fire industry experience would be highly regarded but not essential
Current Driver’s Licence
Strong focus and commitment to workplace safety
Excellent customer service and time management
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Good personal presentation
Willingness to multi-skill into other areas of fire protection
High level computer skills
