Wet Fire Designer or Senior Draftsperson

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Wet Fire Designer or Senior Draftsperson to join our growing in-house design team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Wet Fire Designer or Senior Draftsperson to play a key role in delivering high-quality fire protection designs across a diverse range of commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and residential projects.

Working closely with our project managers, installation teams and clients, you will be responsible for producing coordinated, compliant and construction-ready documentation using the latest design technologies.

• Design automatic fire sprinkler, hydrant and associated wet fire systems.

• Produce detailed construction documentation using Revit, supplemented with AutoCAD where required.

• Develop, manage and coordinate 3D BIM models in Revit.

• Complete hydraulic calculations.

• Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical building services.

• Participate in BIM coordination and design meetings.

• Prepare shop drawings and as-built documentation.

• Ensure designs comply with the NCC and relevant Australian Standards, including AS2118, AS2419 and AS2941.

• Provide technical support to project managers and installation teams.

• Review consultant documentation and identify practical, cost-effective design and construction solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Wet Fire Designer or Senior Draftsperson within the building services industry.

• Advanced experience using Revit and AutoCAD.

• Revit (3D BIM) experience is essential.

• Experience coordinating building services within a BIM environment.

• Hydraulic calculation experience.

• Strong knowledge of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.

• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• FPAS Accreditation.

• NSW Design Practitioner registration (Building Services – Fire Safety Systems).

• Experience using Navisworks or other BIM coordination software.

• Experience delivering Design & Construct projects.

• Experience across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and residential developments.
