Optio6 Talent Partners is proud to be partnering with a highly regarded national accounting and advisory firm to recruit a Senior Accountant for its Business Advisory team.

The opportunity Working closely with experienced Managers and Partners, you will provide accounting, taxation and advisory support to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and associated entities
• Preparing income tax returns, BAS and IAS returns
• Supporting clients with tax planning and compliance matters
• Acting as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients
• Building trusted relationships and developing an understanding of each client’s business
• Identifying issues and supporting practical, commercially considered solutions
• Managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines

About you You will bring:

• A minimum of three years’ accounting experience within a professional services or public practice firm
• A degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce or a related discipline
• Completion of the CA program or an equivalent professional qualification
• Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• A confident, engaging and professional communication style
• The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• A collaborative, team-focused attitude
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online or Reckon
• Experience with Xero Financials and Tax software will be highly regarded but is not essential
