Screen Manufacture/Window Maker

About the role

Farrawell Glass and Aluminium is seeking a skilled Screen Manufacture/Window Maker to join our team in Kempsey, NSW. This is a full-time position based at our manufacturing facility, where you will play a crucial role in the production and assembly of high-quality screens and windows. This position is integral to our operations, ensuring that each product meets our exacting standards and customer expectations. You will be working on-site at our Kempsey location, contributing directly to the success of our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, cut and assemble glass and aluminium components according to specifications and technical drawings

• Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery used in screen and window production

• Perform quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet company standards and customer requirements

• Install hardware, seals and weatherstripping in screens and windows with precision and attention to detail

• Prepare finished products for packaging and dispatch, ensuring they are protected from damage

• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines

• Report any equipment issues or defects to supervisors and assist with troubleshooting where required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in screen manufacturing, window making or similar assembly and process work preferred.

• Strong practical skills with hand tools and power tools commonly used in manufacturing environments

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and measurements accurately

• Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high quality standards

• Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and lift materials weighing up to 20kg regularly

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic

• Experience with aluminium or glass work is highly desirable

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in manufacturing or assembly work would be advantageous
