Support Worker - Cantonese Speaker

The Candidate

We are seeking a Support Worker who speaks Cantonese to provide personalised care and support to a client in Mount Waverley and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate, reliable, punctual and genuinely caring, with a strong commitment to supporting clients to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Cantonese-speaking ability and availability during the required hours are essential for this position.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will assist the client with a range of daily living and personal care activities, including:

• Showering, dressing and grooming
• Toileting and personal care
• Medication monitoring
• Meal preparation
• Shopping and errands
• Domestic assistance and housekeeping
• Respite care
• Social support and companionship
• Transportation to appointments

Required Availability

The successful candidate must be available for the following shifts:

• Monday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
• Wednesday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
• Thursday: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
• Friday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Total: 11 hours per week

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community)
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• National Police Clearance Certificate
• Current Driver's Licence
• Registered vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
• Smartphone to access our applications
• Fluent Cantonese-speaking ability
