Morgan's IGA is a proud family-owned supermarket group operating across four stores in Victoria. We're looking for an energetic and hands-on Deli Manager to lead our deli team and deliver an outstanding fresh food experience for our customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated retail leader who enjoys working with people, maintaining high standards, and driving results in a fast-paced fresh food environment.

About the Role

As Deli Manager, you'll take ownership of the department and be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of deli assistants

• Delivering excellent customer service and product knowledge

• Managing stock ordering, rotation and inventory control

• Reducing shrink through effective stock management and food safety practices

• Creating attractive displays and maintaining merchandising standards

• Managing department rosters and labour budgets

• Monitoring sales, margins and department profitability

• Ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety requirements

• Maintaining a clean, organised and ready-for-business department at all times

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a supermarket, deli, fresh food or hospitality management role

• Strong leadership and team-building skills

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities

• Ability to manage stock, ordering and department performance

• Knowledge of food safety and handling practices

• A hands-on approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Reliable, organised and results-focused
