We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead our NSW team, based at our Prestons warehouse.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In your new role as Operations Manager, you will be focused on leading your team and empowering them to succeed, balancing service with cost and delivering operational results. You'll drive a high-performance culture which drives financial performance. Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and lead a large-scale warehouse and transport operation
• Lead, coach and develop operational teams, warehouse employees and drivers
• Champion safety, compliance and continuous improvement
• Ensure service excellence across a multi-customer site and evolving operational demands
• Manage labour, overtime and workforce planning to optimise performance 
• Balance commercial outcomes with customer requirements

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
As our Operations Manager you will bring:

• Experience running a transport and warehouse operation in an FMCG/3PL environment
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing large operational teams
• In-depth commercial understanding of labour, costs, service + profitability
• Experience with an operation that has seasonal peaks and dips

Alongside these skills, you will be someone that is people-centric, emotionally intelligent and able to empower team. You’ll bring a deep knowledge of safety governance, WHS, CoR and warehousing operations, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. You will have experience in a multi-customer site. If your previous teams describe you as hard working, down-to-earth and pragmatic, you will fit in well at BAM.
