About the Role

As a Field Services Technician, you’ll be on the ground supporting our customers with hands-on hardware troubleshooting, repairs and installations. No two days look the same — one moment you might be configuring desktop hardware for a new site rollout, the next you’re isolating a hardware fault that’s been mistaken for a software issue. You’ll work closely with the Field Services Team Leader and the Managed Service Desk team, contributing to a well-monitored, well-supported customer environment.

What you’ll be working on:

• Repairing and installing customer equipment including laptops, PCs, servers and networking devices, in line with ASI’s internal procedures
• Installing and configuring desktop hardware, software and other devices
• Logging, managing and processing incidents through to resolution
• Supporting the Managed Service Desk team with monitoring, patching, upgrades and maintenance across customer environments
• Reporting on customer environments and proactively flagging issues before they escalate
• Contributing to a strong team culture and bringing ASI’s values to life in your day-to-day work

A bit about you:

• You have solid, hands-on experience supporting desktop and hardware infrastructure, and you’re confident isolating a hardware fault from a software one
• You communicate clearly and professionally, whether you’re talking a customer through an issue or documenting your work for the team
• You stay calm and organised when priorities shift, and you know how to balance urgency with quality
• You take ownership of the work in front of you and follow it through to resolution
• You’re adaptable and open to change as ASI’s systems and processes evolve

Essential Criteria:

• Proven experience supporting desktop and hardware infrastructure
• Experience working within IT service desk ticketing tools
• Strong track record with hardware, desktop environments and interactive whiteboard troubleshooting
• Sound understanding of manufacturer repair processes, with the ability to isolate hardware faults from software issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A valid driver’s licence, and willingness to undergo a Police Check and Working with Children Check

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience with Lenovo and/or Microsoft manufacturer repairs
