About the role

Djirra is seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to join our Operations team on an ongoing, full-time basis. Whether you are visiting our regional offices to oversee exciting site upgrades or connecting face-to-face with our statewide teams, you will love hitting the road as you travel across Victoria to support our programs.

As the Facilities Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day to day operations of Djirra across all our Victorian locations. You will coordinate and oversee property and facilities management, ensuring our workplaces are safe, functional, well maintained and welcoming for staff, clients and visitors.

In this diverse role, you will also be responsible for fleet management, travel and accommodation bookings, and IT support services. You will liaise with a range of external service providers, coordinate maintenance and repairs.

This is a varied, hands on role suited to an experienced facilities professional who is highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and have the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate building maintenance, inspections, and repairs for headquarters and regional offices, and assist with site upgrades, renovations, or new locations.
• Manage motor vehicles and fleet operations, including bookings, servicing, repairs, insurance, fuel cards, and audits.
• Act as the onsite IT coordinator and manage portals (Security, Phriendly Phishing, Smartfleet, Ticketing).
• Ensure timely completion of staff onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Coordinate purchasing, inventory, and vendor negotiations for office supplies, stationery, kitchen/bathroom consumables, and minor IT equipment; maintain the supplier compliance database.
• Oversee security and emergency procedures in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
• Serve as the primary contact for damage reports and equipment requests, and prepare operational reports for IT, communications, and facilities.
• Maintain a willingness to travel to multiple sites and regional offices across Victoria as required.

Who you are

• Maturity, flexibility and empathetic to the needs of Aboriginal victims and survivors of family violence, particularly women and children.
• You have worked before in property management or facilities management.
• You can handle sudden changes, juggle multiple tasks at once, and stay calm under pressure.
• You easily build good relationships with outside contractors, clients, and your teammates.
• You are great at planning, keeping things in order, solving everyday problems, and you always have a positive “can-do” attitude.
• You are experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), databases, and IT equipment, and you have a valid driver’s licence.

Requirements

Essential

• Current and full driver’s licence
• A Victorian Employees Working with Children’s Check card or willing to obtain one
• Willing to obtain a Police Check at Djirra’s expense
• A relevant tertiary qualification or relevant experience in a similar role.
