About The Role
An exciting opportunity exists to join Forensic Intervention Services as a Senior Workforce Development Officer on a fixed term basis. This role is responsible for managing a suite of workforce development projects and initiatives that support workforce capability, sustainability, attraction, recruitment and retention across FIS. The position plays a key role in responding to emerging workforce challenges and delivering innovative workforce strategies that support organisational priorities.
About Forensic Intervention Services
Forensic Intervention Services is a specialist program area within Corrections Victoria that provides evidence-based offence-specific screening, assessment and intervention services to people in custody and the community. FIS plays a critical role in supporting rehabilitation, reducing reoffending and contributing to safer communities across Victoria.
What will the Senior Workforce Development Officer do?
Reporting To The Manager, Workforce Development, You Will
Lead and coordinate workforce development projects and initiatives that support workforce attraction, recruitment, retention and capability building.Provide evidence-based advice and recommendations on workforce strategies and emerging workforce issues.Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including tertiary institutions, government agencies and professional bodies.Identify and respond to emerging workforce trends and challenges that may impact workforce demand and supply.Evaluate workforce initiatives and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.Prepare high-quality briefings, reports and other strategic documentation.Manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.Manage a small team of staff and oversee all workforce development business as usual activities.
What are we looking for?
You Will Bring
Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, workforce development or a related field.Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.Experience preparing high-quality reports, submissions and briefings.A collaborative approach and ability to influence outcomes across a complex environment.
Qualifications in Human Resource Management, Learning and Development, Change Management or a related discipline will be well regarded but are not essential. Experience or knowledge of the health sector will also be advantageous.
