THE ROLE - CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER / BUILDER LIAISON

Based within our Structural & Building Materials division, you will play a key role in supporting builders, suppliers, and internal stakeholders by creating a smooth, stress-free experience by delivering accurate, timely, and professional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires a proactive and detail-focused person who is confident in communication, capable of problem-solving, and able to work collaboratively with our friendly team while managing multiple priorities.

We have a permanent full-time position available as well as a maternity leave contract until June 2027, which has a genuine opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

• Build and maintain strong relationships by, being the first point of contact for builders and their trades, and keeping them informed and updated on orders
• Data entry of orders and process quotes
• Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls
• Coordinate delivery stages and manage timelines with internal and external teams
• Troubleshoot issues and provide practical solutions
• Work closely with internal teams including Account Managers, Purchasing, Warehouse and Transport to ensure the best customer experience

QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIES

• Versatile background in customer service or similar support roles
• Clear, confident communication and a warm, professional manner
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy (essential)
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in the building or plumbing industry is advantageous, but not essential
• A positive, ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
