Position Overview

TAF Capital is seeking a Finance & Compliance Manager to manage financial reporting, reconciliations and operational finance activities, while supporting the Company’s regulatory, risk and compliance functions. This hands-on role suits someone with an accounting, finance or audit background who is also comfortable with (or keen to develop) compliance, risk and regulatory work in financial services. You’ll work closely with senior management across finance, governance, risk and compliance, with exposure to emerging areas such as digital assets and trustee services.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounts

• Manage reconciliations, management reporting and financial oversight activities
• Assist with financial controls, operational reviews and audit requirements

Compliance & Legal Support

• Support AML/CTF, risk management and governance frameworks
• Manage customer due diligence, onboarding, transaction monitoring and sanctions screening
• Assist with regulatory reporting and engagement with ASIC, AUSTRAC and other stakeholders
• Maintain policies, procedures, registers and governance documentation

Experience & Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years’ experience in accounting, finance or audit, ideally within financial services, funds management, AFSL-regulated businesses or fintech
• Experience preparing management accounts, reconciliations or financial analysis
• Ideal – Exposure to compliance, legal or regulatory processes (e.g. AML/CTF, contracts, policy drafting)

Desirable

• Understanding of ASIC regulatory framework and AUSTRAC AML/CTF obligations
• Experience with AML/CTF programs, KYC tools or transaction monitoring
• Exposure to digital assets, remittance or trustee services

Key Skills & Attributes

• Strong accounting and financial analysis skills; able to identify anomalies and risks
• Sound understanding of financial controls and operational risk management
• Legal/compliance mindset — comfortable with policy drafting and regulatory documentation
• Proficient in Xero, Microsoft Office, SharePoint and AI-enabled productivity tools
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation; able to manage multiple priorities in a small, growing business
