A Grade Electrician - Full Time

About the role

Electrx is seeking an experienced A Grade Electrician to join our team in Brooklyn, VIC. Immediate start for the right person. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work with a dynamic electrical services company. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical work across a variety of projects. This role is integral to our operations and provides the chance to develop your skills within a professional, growing business.

• Full time, permanent - immediate start

• Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm

• Based in Brooklyn, servicing all of Melbourne

• Primarily residential work such as switchboard upgrades, rewires, lighting, EV chargers, fault finding, home automation and more.

• We also do commerical and medical & dental clinic work so there's plenty of variety.

• You'll work as part of a team, alongside other electricians.

What we're looking for

• A Grade electrical licence with current registration in Victoria - Essential

• Minimum 3+ years' post-license experience in electrical installation and maintenance work

• Sound knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards and relevant legislation, including the National Electrical Code of Australia

• Solid residential experience

• Strong attention to detail

• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

• Current White Card

• Current Victorian Drivers License

• Current First Aid certification (desirable)

• Excellent communication skills and professional approach to customer interactions

Bonus points if you have:

• Commerical and/or Medical & Dental electrical experience

• Solar & Battery experience

What you'll be doing

• Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems, wiring and equipment in accordance with relevant codes and standards

• Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, technical drawings and specifications

• Conducting electrical testing and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations

• Troubleshooting electrical faults and implementing effective solutions

• Performing preventative maintenance on electrical installations and systems

• Collaborating with team members and other trades to deliver projects on schedule

• Adhering to health and safety protocols on all job sites

• Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used

• Supervising or mentoring apprentices or junior electricians
