About Us and Our Team Culture
At The Centre for Women & Co. and Men & Co. Services we work to support individuals, children and families towards physical and emotional safety through Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence support and health and wellbeing counselling. We work from an evidence-based, trauma-informed and reflective practice framework.
The Role
The Co-Engagement DFV Specialist role is responsible for providing services directly to women who are experiencing Domestic and/or Family Violence (DFV).The DFV Specialist will work in partnership with Queensland Police Service (QPS) through a co‑responder model. This position undertakes joint ride‑alongs with QPS officers to attend homes of clients who have experienced DFV, providing expert DFV knowledge, immediate crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and connection to ongoing support services; while also helping police strengthen their DFV understanding and contribute to more effective engagement with victim‑survivors.

Please note, roles above a SCHADS Level 4.1 require completed or working towards tertiary qualifications at a bachelors/undergraduate level or higher. Roles above a SCHADS Level 5.1 require completed tertiary qualifications at a bachelors/undergraduate level or higher.
Potential Start Dates
This role is available to start on 13 July 2026.
We have set start dates for new team members so that they can undertake our supportive induction process with our Practice and Development Lead. This process allows new team members to have set time to learn more about our organisation, our practice frameworks and set up all equipment and logins.
