The part you will play
The position aims to build community participation and capacity of children, young people and families through increasing knowledge and access to internal and external programs and services for children, families and community.
The Education and Engagement Facilitator builds partnerships and strengthens linkages with early childhood providers, youth support services, family and community support agencies, to identify and facilitate a coordinated approach to community education through the development of the Training and Education program, Raising Children and Young people Program, conference, events and other identified initiatives for children, young people, families and professionals.
This position is responsible for building program engagement opportunities within community in line with evidence based, high-quality programs. The position works closely with the Access and Engagement Coordinator and Unit Manager to identify and establish programs engagement opportunities for children, families, young people and professionals that reflect on, identify and improve processes and models to support access of all children, young people and families, particularly those most vulnerable.
The position works with relevant stakeholders within a continual improvement philosophy. In order to achieve effective outcomes, to inform service improvement projects and ensure contemporary, evidence-based ways of working.
As part of the Children and Families team you will work closely with internal and external early years sector stakeholders, building key relationships and interactions with:
Children and families department staff
Other local governments
Health services
Industry bodies
Other relevant stakeholders

You will thrive in this role if you:
Hold a tertiary qualification with a minimum 5 years’ experience in early childhood, education, health, welfare, social work, community development or community services
Build relationships
Network skillfully
Plan, develop, monitor and report on programs and sessions
Coordinate events and initiatives
Facilitate collaboratively
