Maintenance Coordinator

St Joseph’s Nudgee College is seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join our Property & Services team in a full-time role, available for an immediate start.

This is a hands-on coordination role where you will oversee the day-to-day maintenance of our buildings, facilities and equipment, while working alongside tradespeople and contractors to keep our College safe, functional and well maintained.

Working closely with the Property & Services Manager, you will:

• Coordinate ad hoc and emergency maintenance across the College
• Identify faults, determine practical repair solutions and undertake hands-on maintenance within your skill set
• Engage, coordinate and supervise tradespeople and external contractors
• Manage work orders and purchase orders through the College’s maintenance system
• Monitor buildings, facilities, machinery, plant, pools and equipment with a strong focus on safety
• Work within maintenance schedules, budgets and resource requirements
• Support the College’s fire safety, risk management and compliance requirements
• Assist with the supervision and maintenance of pool plant operations

You are an experienced maintenance professional who can confidently coordinate people and priorities while still being comfortable getting hands on when required.

You will bring:

• A building trade qualification or extensive experience in trade service and maintenance
• Previous experience in a similar maintenance or facilities role
• Strong general maintenance and fault-finding skills
• Experience coordinating and supervising tradespeople and contractors
• Strong practical knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing maintenance needs
• Strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach
• Confidence using maintenance and infrastructure management systems
• A current Blue Card or eligibility to obtain one

Experience in commercial pool plant operations and heritage buildings would be highly regarded.
