About the role
Noosa Council values the contribution of our people and is committed to creating a workplace where employees feel supported, respected and empowered to succeed. We celebrate diversity and are proud to foster an inclusive environment that promotes health and wellbeing, work-life balance and meaningful career development.
Join our supportive and progressive organisation and be part of a team delivering on our vision - ‘Noosa Shire - different by nature’
Are you passionate about the power of sport to create lasting community impact? As the Olympics Project Officer, you will help prepare Noosa for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and legacy-focused initiatives. Working across Council, government, sporting organisations and the community, you'll play a key role in maximising opportunities and delivering lasting benefits for the Noosa Shire.
You are a proactive and collaborative professional with experience in sport, recreation, project management or community development. A strong communicator and relationship builder, you enjoy working with diverse stakeholders to deliver meaningful community outcomes. You thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing strategic thinking and planning with practical project delivery to create lasting community impact.
At Noosa Council, being Different by Nature is more than our location, it reflects how we work, how we support our people, and how we serve our community.
We are committed to creating a workplace that is inclusive, respectful and supportive, where diversity is valued and equal opportunity underpins our recruitment, development and career opportunities.
Our people play an important role in protecting Noosa’s unique natural environment while delivering services that support a thriving and sustainable community. Through our Certified Agreement 2025 and broader workforce initiatives, we have made a strategic investment in our employees to provide financial security, modern flexibility and meaningful wellbeing support throughout their careers.
Noosa Council is located at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Covering an area of 872 square km. Noosa has a proud history of preserving its natural environment and is recognised by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve. The region offers a unique mix of stunning beaches, national parks, lakes and lush hinterland, which makes it one of the greatest places in Australia to live and work.
