As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality oral health care across our community clinics and outreach programs. Working alongside a supportive team of dental professionals, you'll help make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of our diverse community every day.

This position requires working across multiple sites, including: Footscray, Niddrie, Kensington, Smile Squad, and outreach programs, based on clinical service requirements.

Your duties include:

• Work with other members of the Oral Health team, to provide optimal care to patients

• Assist in the provision of Oral care education and promotion, maintaining high level consideration of patients’ needs
• Provide clinical chair side assistance, preparing and maintaining the clinical environment, including equipment and instruments
• Ensure efficient client management, including providing records and medical histories

Our ideal candidate:

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting
• High level of clinical competence, including chair side assisting and infection control, consistent with best practice
• Sound knowledge of public dental program and understanding of public oral health philosophy, detailed understanding of Infection Control
• Victorian Driver’s License

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), a Working with Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-Employment Declaration Form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination.
