Business Analyst

Professional Search Group (PSG) is seeking an experienced Business / Systems Analyst to join a functional focused team supporting business critical systems and digital services within a large organisation in the education sector.

This role is ideal for a BA with Asender pay experience who enjoys working closely with people, understanding how the business operates, and turning business needs into practical system and process improvements. 

You will work with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and help shape solutions that make a genuine difference to the way teams work. 

Previous hands on experience working with Ascender payroll system is a must have 

Location: Perth inner city suburbs

Responsibilities 

• Work collaboratively with business users, system teams and delivery teams throughout the change lifecycle.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand processes, pain points, requirements and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure solutions align with business requirements and deliver the intended outcomes.   
• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Analyse existing systems, processes, data flows and integrations.
• Support system enhancements, implementations, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. 

About You 

You are a people-focused, practical Business Analyst who is comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels, enjoy asking questions, understanding the bigger picture, and getting into the detail when required. 

• Must have previous experience in Asender Pay
• Experience working as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• A proven ability to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
• Experience mapping and improving business processes.
• Practical SQL and data-analysis skills.
• Experience with system integration, APIs, data flows or enterprise applications.
• Experience with testing, UAT and defect management.
