The Student Data Reporting Analsyt supports the National Student Administration Lead by delivering student data reporting, analytics, and survey insights across all JMC campuses.  

 The role is responsible for regulatory reporting of student data & TCSI reporting, building and maintaining data dashboards, tracking key student outcomes and experience metrics, administering student surveys, and providing the evidence base that drives informed decision-making across the institution.   

Working at the intersection of student administration, student experience, and institutional quality, the Student Data Analyst converts student data into practical intelligence that supports early intervention, service improvement, regulatory confidence and evidence-based decision-making across national and campus teams.   

• Develop, maintain and improve dashboards and reports covering student administration, engagement, progression, retention, satisfaction and outcomes.  
• Provide timely reporting to the National Student Administration Lead, Head of Campus Operations, Campus Operations Managers, and National Functional Leads. 
• Create clear, accessible reporting outputs that support practical decision-making.
• Monitor the quality, accuracy and completeness of regulatory reporting of student data across relevant systems.
• Support the development of data definitions and consistent reporting logic across national reports.
• Analyse trends in student engagement, retention, progression, withdrawal, survey responses and service demand.
• Support evidence-based prioritisation of student experience, administration and career support initiatives.
• Support the collection, analysis and reporting of student feedback, survey data and pulse check results.
• Prepare summaries of key findings for operational teams and leadership.
• Support implementation of new reporting solutions and automation opportunities.

MUST HAVES:

• Must have experience in Higher Education student data reporting and analytics
• Experience with TCSI (Tertiary Collection of Student Information) reporting with high degree of accuracy
• Understanding of legislative and regulatory reporting requirements in Higher Education Sector
• Acurately report on attrition, retention, student satisfaction and present data driven recommendation to leadership.
• Experience with Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, or Student Management Systems/Databases.
• Experience with Student Experience Survey Data analytics, QILT, Course Evaluations, including creating dashboards is desirable. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel or similar reporting tools.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality assurance.
• Ability to work with operational teams to identify data issues and improve data capture at source.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders. 
• Relevant tertiary qualification in data analytics, information management, or a related field. 
• Working with children check required. 

• You enjoy turning complex student data into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making.
• You like building dashboards, reports and visualisations that make information easy to understand and use.
• You are comfortable working with stakeholders to improve data definitions, processes and reporting consistency.
• You can communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You are collaborative and enjoy working across student administration, operations and leadership teams.

• You are not comfortable working with large datasets, reporting tools or structured data environments.
• You struggle with detail, accuracy or maintaining high standards in data quality and validation.
• You prefer intuitive or informal decision-making over evidence-based analysis.
• You are uncomfortable explaining data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
