Junior School Teacher

We are Queensland's first grammar school. Our school caters for boys from Prep to Year 12 through an outstanding education offered to day and boarding students. We have developed innovative approaches to address the specific individual learning and personal development needs of boys.

Students are supported by staff from various backgrounds who bring world-class knowledge and experience to our learning environment.

We are seeking applications for Junior School Teachers interested in or holding existing experience in the Explicit Teaching approach. Full training in adopting the Explicit Teaching approach will be provided to the successful applicant, in addition to ongoing support.

Key responsibilities of the role: 

• Be innovative, highly motivated and organised in the planning and delivery of a primary education curriculum.

• Support the strategic educational development of the School.

• Represent the School in a professional and considered manner.

• Develop and utilise data to inform good practice and appropriate change.

• Demonstrate support for the school by regular attendance at school functions and out of school activities, including extra-curricular.

• Have a special interest, passion and expertise in the education of boys.
