Child and Adolescent Psychologist

Aspire Wellness Group is seeking a part time or casual Psychologist to join our growing private practice in Essendon North.

This role is ideal for a psychologist who is looking for flexible weekend work in a warm, professional and client-centred clinic environment.

The the successful clinician will generally be working independently onsite and will need to feel confident managing their own clinical sessions, documentation and client interactions. Administrative and practice support will be available, and you will remain connected to the Aspire Wellness Group team.

As a Psychologist, you will provide evidence-based psychological support to clients of Aspire Wellness Group. This may include assessment, therapy, treatment planning and ongoing client care.

This role would suit a psychologist who is comfortable working autonomously, while still being part of a supportive and professional private practice.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing psychological therapy to clients in line with your experience and scope of practice

• Conducting intake, assessment and treatment planning

• Delivering evidence-based interventions, including CBT and other appropriate therapeutic approaches

• Maintaining clear, accurate and timely clinical notes

• Working collaboratively with families, referrers and other health professionals where appropriate

• Upholding professional, ethical and organisational standards

• Managing sessions independently on Sundays

• Participating in supervision or professional development as required

We are looking for a psychologist who is professional, reliable and genuinely committed to high-quality client care.

The successful applicant will have:

• Current registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA

• Eligibility for Medicare provider number registration

• Experience working with children, adolescents and/or families preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to build rapport with clients and families

• Sound clinical judgement and record-keeping skills

• Confidence working independently in a private practice setting

• Professional indemnity insurance or willingness to obtain it
