Arborist & Groundsman

An arborist (or tree surgeon) plants, prunes, maintains, and removes trees. They assess tree health, diagnose diseases, and work safely at heights using ropes and harnesses.

Lumberjacks WA is seeking dynamic and experienced Arborists, Tree Workers and Groundsmen to join our growing team. Based at our Malaga depot that involve a variety of hands-on landscaping and tree maintenance duties to support our clients across the local area.

What you’ll be doing

• Safely operating heavy machinery and equipment to prune, trim and remove trees
• Assisting with the transportation and disposal of green waste
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and adhering to all safety protocols
• Collaborating with the wider team to deliver exceptional customer service

What we’re looking for

• Current Drivers License (Mandatory)
• Certificate III in Arboriculture (preferred)
• Proficiency in the use of chainsaws, wood chippers, truck mounted EWP, stump grinders and other equipment is preferred.
• A current manual HR or MR driver’s license and experience operating light commercial vehicles is a distinct advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safe work practices
• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
