About the role
Oakville Public School has proudly served the Hawkesbury community for over 100 years, combining a rich tradition of educational excellence with a commitment to preparing students for the future. Set within spacious grounds and well-resourced learning environments, our school provides a safe, inclusive and welcoming community where every child is known, valued and supported to thrive.
With approximately 660 students across 27 classes, students are at the centre of everything we do. We are committed to explicit teaching with high expectations, ensuring every child is challenged, supported and inspired to achieve their personal best. Strong literacy and numeracy programs underpin all learning, providing students with the essential knowledge and skills for future success.
Our dedicated staff use evidence-informed practices and student assessment data to deliver high-quality teaching that maximises growth for every learner. Beyond the classroom, students have access to a broad range of sporting, creative, cultural and leadership opportunities, including public speaking, debating, performing arts, representative sport, student leadership and High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) programs.
Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is embedded across the school, promoting our values of Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best and fostering a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to make positive choices and take pride in their achievements.
We are committed to improving outcomes for Aboriginal students through authentic cultural connections, personalised learning and opportunities that strengthen identity, belonging and success. Our EAL/D students are supported through inclusive practices and targeted programs that build confidence, language development and academic achievement.
Strong partnerships with families and the wider community, together with a culture of continuous improvement, ensure Oakville Public School remains a place where every student is empowered to learn, achieve and thrive.
