Chef / Cook

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals while maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard

• Follow recipes, portion sizes and presentation requirements

• Assist with menu preparation and contribute ideas for new dishes

• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen

• Ensure all food is stored, prepared and handled in accordance with food safety regulations

• Monitor food quality, freshness and presentation

• Manage stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients when required

• Minimise food waste and maintain effective portion control

• Work efficiently during busy service periods

• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service

About you

• Previous experience working as a Chef or in a commercial kitchen

• Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
