About the role 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and self-motivated staff experienced in food services to bring joy to our resident’s day. As a Food Services Assistant your focus will be to deliver catering needs that meet nutritional and hydration needs, special requirements and preferences of our residents.  

Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, your focus will be:

• Performing basic food preparation tasks and cooking basic meals. 
• Preparing, presenting and serving / deliver food and refreshments, ensuring awareness of special needs for modified diets
• Plating and presenting food in an appealing manner and to a high-quality visual standard according to individual requirements

Requirements 

• Food Safety Certificate Level I (HLTFSE001) or progression towards the completion of a Food Safety Certificate
• Previous experience working in a food services environment and/or at an aged care facility 
• Patience; common sense and a strong ethos of client service
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within a team and to work with minimum supervision

The successful incumbents will need to be available to work some of the days and hours listed below, please list your preferences with your application.

Week 1

Monday 9am to 3pm

Wednesday 9am to 3pm, 1pm to 6pm or 2.30pm to 8pm

Friday 9am to 3pm

Saturday 2.30pm to 8pm

Sunday 9am to 3pm 

Week 2

Monday 9am to 3pm

Wednesday 9am to 3pm or 1pm to 6pm 

Friday 9am to 3pm

Saturday 9am to 3pm

Sunday 6.30am to 2pm
