Site Foreman - New-build Residential Apartment Projects

Our client is a highly respected builder and developer renowned for delivering luxury residential apartment developments across Sydney. With an outstanding reputation in Sydney's premium suburbs and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are seeking an experienced Site Foreman to join their growing team.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership on site, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple trades while maintaining project programme and quality objectives.

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the construction programme.

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site labour to maintain productivity and quality standards.

• Monitor construction progress and proactively identify and resolve site issues.

• Conduct daily pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and site safety inspections.

• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company procedures, the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, and project specifications.

• Inspect workmanship and completed works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

• Review construction drawings and coordinate site activities to minimise delays and rework.

• Assist with developing and maintaining short-term construction programmes, including weekly 4–6-week look-ahead schedules.

• Coordinate material deliveries and ensure adequate resources are available to maintain project progress.

• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to resolve site-related issues.

• Maintain accurate site records, including daily site diaries, inspections, defects, and quality documentation.

• Assist the Site Manager in achieving programme, quality, safety, and project completion objectives throughout the construction lifecycle.

• Minimum five years' experience as a Site Foreman on new-build Class 2 residential apartment projects.

• Demonstrated experience delivering the complete construction lifecycle of Class 2 residential apartment developments, from demolition, excavation to structure, fit-out through to Occupation Certificate (OC) and project handover, is essential.

• Experience delivering luxury residential apartment projects will be highly regarded.

• Trade qualification in Carpentry or a related building trade is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of Class 2 residential apartment construction methods, sequencing, and finishing standards.

• Sound knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, and WHS requirements.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and services drawings.

• Strong leadership and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors simultaneously.

• Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.

• Experience using Procore, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office is highly regarded.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
