About the role
ABOUT THE YOUTH IMPACT FOUNDATION (TYIF)
We exist for one reason: to improve the lives of young Australians and New Zealanders. Right now we reach over 200,000 young people every year through programs delivered in schools across both countries, and we're building toward one million by 2030. Our program brands include Magic Moments, Youth Leadership Academy, Attitude, Youth Engagement Project, Burn Bright Australia, National Leadership Camp, and Reach, each one evidence-based, each one designed to meet young people where they are.
We are growing fast and recently merged with The Reach Foundation, bringing together two of Australia's most established youth wellbeing organisations under one roof. It's an exciting moment to join us.
Our funders, partners and supporters make this impact possible. We want them to feel deeply connected to our work, understand the difference their support makes and be inspired to continue that journey with us.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an emerging fundraising professional ready to take the next step in their career.
This role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, Partnerships and Engagement, you’ll manage relationships with existing funders and partners across trusts and foundations, philanthropy, government and corporate partnerships.
You’ll ensure our supporters feel connected to our work and understand the impact they’re helping create. You’ll coordinate grants and partnerships, develop compelling impact communications and help establish TYIF’s growing community fundraising program.
You don’t need to have done every part of this role before. You may come from fundraising, partnerships or community engagement. What matters is that you’re a strong relationship builder, excellent communicator, highly organised and motivated by creating better outcomes for young people.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Funder & partner relationships
Manage a portfolio of existing funders and partners.
Deliver stewardship plans, meetings, updates and engagement opportunities to build trust.
Track commitments, reporting requirements and renewals.
Support significant renewals, proposals and account growth.
Grant & partnership delivery
Coordinate funded partnerships from commencement through to renewal or completion.
Work across Programs, Business Development, Finance and Marketing to deliver commitments.
Identify issues early and help resolve them.
Impact reporting & engagement
Coordinate high-quality funder and partner reporting.
Turn program data, outcomes and stories into compelling communications.
Work with Marketing and Communications to bring TYIF’s impact to life.
Community fundraising
Help shape and deliver TYIF’s emerging community fundraising strategy in a multi-brand environment.
Develop campaigns for individuals, workplaces and communities.
Build supporter journeys and use campaign results to improve engagement.
CRM & fundraising operations
Maintain accurate funder, partner and supporter records.
Use data to identify opportunities and improve supporter engagement.
Maintain high standards of privacy, data integrity and ethical fundraising.
ABOUT YOU
You’re likely to have 3+ years’ experience in fundraising, partnerships, account management or community engagement and are ready for greater ownership.
You’ll bring:
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Experience coordinating campaigns, projects or stakeholder activities.
Strong organisation and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Confidence using CRM systems and data.
A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to learn.
Passion for connecting people with causes that matter.
Experience in the not-for-profit, youth, education, wellbeing or social impact sectors is an advantage, as is exposure to philanthropy, government funding, corporate partnerships, community fundraising or impact reporting, but we don’t expect you to have it all.
WHAT WE OFFER
NFP salary packaging of up to $15,900 tax-free, plus meal and entertainment benefits
Hybrid Work Arrangement (2 days WFH), with offices in Melbourne and Sydney
Five days of paid volunteer leave per year
National travel built into the role
Monthly team days and an annual retreat that people actually look forward to
A culture where people look out for each other and the work is taken seriously
The chance to join an organisation at a significant moment in its growth
OUR VALUES
Serve outside the spotlight. Be daring. Put your relationships first. Heart centred. Better never stops. Celebrate quirk, bring joy. Embrace your story.
These aren't just words on a wall. They describe the kind of people we hire and the way we work.
REQUIREMENTS

A current paid employee Working with Children Check (NSW or VIC), or the ability to obtain one before starting
