People & Culture Business Partner (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

This is not a standard HR Business Partner role. We’re looking for a capable, grounded and influential People & Culture Business Partner to join Keolis during a significant period of organisational change. This 12-month fixed-term opportunity is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, offering flexibility while playing a key role in supporting both day-to-day operational HR partnering and a major organisational milestone.
This is a role for someone who thrives in complexity, enjoys being close to operations, and can confidently balance hands-on HR delivery with meaningful change work.
You will partner closely with leaders within the Customer Experience and Security function, building capability, improving people outcomes, and ensuring our workforce is supported through a period of change.

How You’ll Make an Impact

In this role, you will be trusted to:
• Act as a hands-on Business Partner to operational leaders, providing practical, timely and commercially grounded HR advice
• Coach and influence leaders to strengthen capability in performance, conduct, engagement and workforce management
• Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, and separation
• Provide advice and leading complex employee relations matters

You will also play a critical role in organisational change, including:
• Assisting with consultation processes in line with industrial obligations
• Supporting role mapping, workforce impact analysis and employee communication activities
• Helping ensure employees remain informed, engaged and supported through change

Beyond this, you will contribute to broader People & Safety initiatives, including:
• Workforce planning and succession activities
• Engagement, culture and performance programs
• Continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and employee experience
• Workforce reporting, insights and data-driven decision making

What You Bring to the Role

We are looking for someone who is confident operating in a complex, operational environment and enjoys being close to the business.
• Proven experience as a generalist HR Business Partner
• Strong employee relations capability, including interpretation and compliance with complex Awards, Enterprise Agreements and industrial legislation
• Experience supporting organisational change, workforce transition or transformation programs (highly regarded)
• Ability to coach and influence leaders in a practical, trusted and solutions-focused way
• Strong judgement when managing sensitive, complex or high-risk people matters
• Experience working in fast-paced, operational or unionised environments
• Confidence using HR systems and workforce data to support decisions
