Aircraft Storesperson

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and coordinating the day-to-day operation of the aircraft maintenance stores and logistics function. This is a rare opportunity to help build an aviation warehouse from the ground up. You will have significant input into the design, layout, inventory systems and day-to-day operation of our stores, helping create an efficient, compliant and industry-leading facility.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting in the design and establishment of ACJC's new aircraft maintenance warehouse and stores facility.
• Developing efficient inventory control, receiving, dispatch and storage processes.
• Establishing and maintaining working relationships with reputable parts suppliers.
• Receiving, inspecting, storing and issuing aircraft parts, tooling and maintenance consumables.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and full aircraft component traceability.
• Purchasing aircraft parts, tooling and consumables from approved suppliers.
• Coordinating domestic and international freight, including Aircraft on Ground (AOG) logistics.
• Managing inventory levels through stock replenishment, cycle counts and inventory control.
• Managing Ground Support Equipment (GSE), tooling and calibration records.
• Monitoring aircraft component certification, shelf-life items and controlled inventory.

About you

• Minimum 5 years' experience in warehousing, logistics, inventory management or stores operations.
• Experience with receiving, dispatch, purchasing, freight coordination and inventory control.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Physically fit and capable of safely undertaking manual handling duties, including lifting and carrying items of up to 25 kg.
• Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
• Full Australian working rights.
