MT1 Maintenance

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our maintenance team based in Rocklea. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of industrial plant and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently using technical drawings and manuals.
• Ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime across the site.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to support production requirements.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) requirements.
• Shutdown work will be required at times

What you’ll bring:

• Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting or Fitting and Machining.
• Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience as a Maintenance Fitter in an industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with MIG welding and fabrication repairs.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Hydraulics experience will be highly regarded.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Sound understanding of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, proactive and safety-focused approach to work.
