The Corporate Services Project Lead supports the Director of Corporate Services and the broader team by providing flexible, high-quality corporate support across governance, contracts, legal coordination, procurement, facilities, policy, records management, compliance, people and culture, and business processes. The role exists to strengthen organisational effectiveness, operations and processes to enable a high performing corporate services function. Through responsive and collaborative support, the role contributes to NDS’s strategy, member experience and organisational impact by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Operational

• Provide flexible corporate services support to the Director of Corporate Services and broader team across governance, contract management, legal coordination, procurement, facilities, policy, records management, compliance and business processes.
• Lead and coordinate cross functional corporate projects and improvements, including project planning, implementation, stakeholder engagement, reporting, risk and issue management, and delivery of agreed outcomes.
• Support the development, review and implementation of Board papers, internal communications, corporate policies, procedures, templates, tools and processes to promote consistency, compliance and effective ways of working.
• Coordinate operational activities that support effective corporate governance, contract administration, records management, procurement, facilities management and compliance obligations. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across corporate services systems, processes and ways of working to improve efficiency, quality, consistency and compliance.

People

• Develop strong working relationships across Corporate Services, other NDS teams and relevant external stakeholders to support collaboration, information sharing and timely delivery of work.
• Provide practical support to the People and Culture function, including coordination of activities, documentation, process improvements and projects as required.
• Build own skills and capability through active participation in learning, development and continuous improvement activities relevant to corporate services and project delivery.
• Support a positive culture across Corporate Services and the broader organisation through collaboration, consultation, communication and responsiveness. 

Strategic

• Contribute to strategic and cross-functional initiatives that strengthen corporate services, improve organisational effectiveness and support delivery of the NDS strategic plan and annual action plans.

1. Demonstrated project management capability, including the ability to plan, coordinate and deliver multi-faceted projects across an organisation, manage competing priorities, track risks and issues, manage a diverse range of stakeholders and achieve agreed outcomes.  Relevant project management qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent will be highly regarded.
2. Broad experience or capability across corporate services functions such as governance, contracts, legal coordination, procurement, facilities, policy, records management, compliance, business processes and people and culture support.
3. Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate documentation, maintain records and support compliant processes.
4. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships, engage stakeholders, share information clearly and support collaborative delivery.  Strong written communication skills including the ability to develop a range of documentation for different audiences.
5. Proactive, flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently, respond to changing priorities and provide practical support across a broad range of corporate services activities.
6. Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that improve efficiency, quality, consistency or compliance.
7. Sound judgement, discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information, coordinating legal or contractual matters, and working with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business systems, with confidence using digital tools to support documentation, collaboration, workflow tracking and reporting.
9. A tertiary qualification in business, management, governance, public administration, law, human resources or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
