Location and Roster

• FIFO from Perth; or DIDO from Onslow, Exmouth, Karratha, or Dampier.

• Paulsens is located in the Ashburton Basin, Eastern Pilbara — 211 km inland from Onslow and 180 km west of Paraburdoo.

• Flights are to Onslow or Paraburdoo, followed by a two-hour bus to site.

• Roster is 8:6 or 15:13.

About the Opportunity

Working in close collaboration with Geologists in the on-site core yard our Geology Technician’s key accountabilities include:

• Assisting with underground and ROM sampling.

• Participating in pre-starts and handovers to arrange daily work activities and prioritisation. 

• Processing of diamond drill core samples ensuring layout and orientation of core samples and meters are correct, marked up and cut, ready to go to the laboratory for analysis. 

• Maintaining a high level of housekeeping, ensuring remaining core samples, core pallets and chip trays are systematically stored and all data collected is recorded.

About You 

We are looking for a person with a positive and motivated ’can do’ attitudes, able to work collaboratively, and with a diverse range of people across all levels who understand we are all in this together. In addition, we require the following:

• Strong understanding and experience with processing of grade control diamond core.

• Experience with meter marking, orientation, cutting, and sampling.

• Competent with Integrated Tool Carrier operation highly regarded.

• High-risk forklift licence.

• C Class license (manual).
