Inventory & Stores Coordinator

Summary:

The Inventory & Stores Coordinator role at Parratech, plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects, this role entails overseeing inventory levels, ensuring accurate record keeping, maintaining optimal stock levels to meet business demands, this role works closely with procurement, production teams and logistics to coordinate inventory flow and streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities:

·Product Sorting and Storage Allocation: Sort incoming goods by category, size, product type, or other criteria to ensure efficient storage, seamless delivery to each location of the manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal space utilisation.

·Quality Checks: Perform quality inspections to ensure the goods meet the required standards, specifications, and compliance regulation.

·Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards for materials handling.

·Document Receipt: Ensure that all incoming goods are accurately documented. This includes matching packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders to the actual goods received.

·Barcode Scanning/Inventory Entry: Utilise barcode scanning or inventory management systems to log items into the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP system.

·Labelling and Tagging: Label products with relevant information (e.g., SKU, batch number, expiry date) to facilitate easy identification and inventory tracking.

·Management and Communication : Enforce correct disciplines around movement of goods within the facility, manage the forklift drivers and internal logistics.

·Handling Discrepancies: In cases of discrepancies (e.g., missing items, incorrect quantities, or damaged goods), communicate with the supplier or vendor to resolve the issue, whether through return, replacement, or credit.

Key Performance Indicators:

This role will be evaluated annually based on exemplary performance in the following areas:

1.      Process Efficiency/Management:

• Continues improvement implementation of inventory processes.
• Stock Control and Automation proposals based on current operations
• Monitor and reduce inventory turnaround times from goods receipt to allocation/use in production or shipping. i.e. avg number of days inventory in stock before use.
• Operational Discipline: Ensure adherence to inventory handling procedures by forklift operators and logistics staff to minimise misplacement, damage, and production delays.

2.      Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to safety rules & regulatory requirements
• Review existing policies and procedures
• Traffic Management improvements
