Job description:

The Opportunity:

You will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of samples in accordance with documented procedures, ensuring accurate and timely processing. The role also involves maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment to ensure reliable results, supporting quality assurance activities, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organised laboratory environment while working closely with the Senior Laboratory Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare, analyse, and process samples in accordance with documented laboratory procedures.

· Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.

· Support quality assurance activities, including recording analysis and maintenance data.

· Assist with laboratory stock control and ensure consumables are available to support operations.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised laboratory environment.

· Participate in laboratory training programs and support the development of team capability.

· Assist with method development, staff training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Roster: 5 days on 2 days off

Role Located: Welshpool

What You'll Bring:

· Experience working in a laboratory environment.

· A qualification in Laboratory Practices or a related scientific field.

· Strong computer skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

· Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

· A safety-focused mindset and commitment to safe work practices.

· Flexibility to work overtime and varied hours when required.
