About the role

We are seeking an Optical Assistant in a casual role to join our dynamic team. Our Optical Assistants play a vital role in our stores and will be responsible for the following duties:

Candidates must be available for weekday shifts as a minimum requirement for this casual position.

• Provide high level customer service on the retail floor and assist with selecting frames and provide in depth product information

• Managing our busy diary of customer appointments

• Adjusting and fitting customers frames and ensuring our product exceedes their expectations.

• Ensure merchandising standards are met including general cleanliness of the store

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will have a rewarding career with Specsavers and will possess the following skills and experience:

Australian work rights are required for this position.

• Previous experience in a customer service/retail role or similar

• A minimum of 1+ years experience in customer service or retail roles is required

• A self-starter with a sense of humour who enjoys variety and a busy environment

• Excellent verbal and written skills with strong attention to detail

• The ability to build genuine and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers
