Role Description The Assistant Buyer is a full-time, on-site role based in South Yarra, VIC. This role supports the buyer by assisting with product selection, design files, maintaining linesheets and excel files, preparing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate product and supplier records. The Assistant Buyer will communicate regularly with suppliers and factories.
QualificationsProficiency with spreadsheets and buying or inventory systems; strong attention to detail for data entry and reporting. Strong numeracy skillsClear written and verbal communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams. , internal stakeholders, and store teams.Organisational and time-management skills to manage multiple orders, timelines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated interest in fashion or retail, with an eye for trends, product details, and customer preferences.Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a small team, taking initiative and ownership of tasks.Experienced in a buying assistant (or similar) role, ideally in footwear, accessories or fashion
