Oriol Design Studio is looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join our growing team.Working primarily within the workplace sector, you’ll be involved in a variety of projects including workplace fit-outs, building repositioning and commercial refurbishments. Through Oriol's strong client relationships, you will also get the opportunity to be involved in aged care and child care design, residential interiors and wellness projects. Your project exposure will be from concept through to completion, creating thoughtful and practical spaces while building strong client relationships.We are a collaborative, supportive studio that values initiative, accountability and continuous improvement, with ongoing mentoring and genuine opportunities for professional growth.
About the Role
You will deliver interior projects working closely with clients, consultants and contractors to achieve high-quality outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesPreparing design presentations, documentation packages, schedules and specifications.Developing creative, practical and buildable design solutions that align with each client's vision, budget and programme.Coordinating with architects, engineers, consultants and project stakeholders throughout the design process.Presenting design concepts and documentation to clients and incorporating feedback into project outcomes.Producing high-quality documentation and maintaining excellent attention to detail.Undertaking site inspections and supporting projects through construction and defect resolution.Managing project priorities to ensure successful delivery within programme and budget.Assisting the Design Manager and Studio Director with project planning, consultant coordination, design reviews and quality assurance.Contributing to the continuous improvement of studio standards, documentation and processes.
About You
Skills & Experience4+ years experience in commercial Interior Design or Interior Architecture.Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or similar.Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp.Experience with Enscape is desirable.Strong design, presentation and documentation skills.Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and workplace design principles.Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
