Highgate Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public-School catering to approximately 1000 Kindergarten to Year 6 students.

The Role
The successful applicant, should ideally have great people skills, well-developed emotional intelligence, have a great sense of joy, humour and fun, and be loyal, hard-working and flexible in your mindset.
You would be an important member of our amazing student services team, made up of three Special Needs Education Assistant (SNEA) Lead, school psychologist, learning support teachers, deputy principals and a student wellbeing officer. You would provide a flexible and supportive response to individual students emotional, social and educational needs. You would be expected to model best practice and guide teams of Education Assistants to provide high quality and consistent care to high needs students.
You should build trust-filled, quality relationships with students, parents and staff. Ideally, you will have the skills to be able to support and encourage the students to participate in the educational program at Highgate, and achieve aims articulated in the Highgate PS vision.
If you are innovative, emotionally intelligent, proactive and an enthusiastic individual, who has a proven ability to solve problems of students, help students de-escalate, help students deal with trauma and are full of common sense we encourage you to apply.
