Merchandiser

About the role

Savvy Business Solutions is seeking an autonomous, motivated and reliable Full-Time Field Merchandiser to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the face of Savvy and our customers across your allocated territory. You will take ownership of your stores, ensuring products are perfectly presented, fully stocked, correctly ranged and prominently displayed to maximise sales and strengthen our customers' brands in-store. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys building strong relationships and can work independently while being part of a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Planograms: Implement planograms, product displays, promotional setups, new product launches and range changes accurately and to a high standard.

• Merchandising & Store Relays: Maintain in-store displays, merchandise, stock presentation and complete product relays and resets.

• Stock Optimisation: Maintain excellent on-shelf availability, replenish and rotate stock, manage ordering requirements and minimise out-of-stock opportunities.

• Range & Compliance: Conduct regular range checks, pricing checks and compliance audits to ensure products are correctly ranged, displayed and presented.

• Build Relationships: Develop strong relationships with Store Managers, Department Managers and store teams to secure the best possible product positioning and additional display opportunities.

• Territory Management: Efficiently plan and manage your daily driving route to ensure all scheduled stores are serviced within required timeframes.

• Sales Opportunities: Identify opportunities to improve product visibility, availability, positioning and ultimately sales performance.

• Reporting: Use our digital field application to log store visits, upload photographs, complete reports and provide inventory and store insights.

• Customer Representation: Represent Savvy and our customers professionally and maintain strong communication with both store teams and Savvy management.

• General Merchandising: Ensure stores are maintained to the highest possible standard and that agreed merchandising strategies are consistently executed.

About you

• Previous experience in retail, merchandising, FMCG, hardware, supermarket or consumer products is highly regarded, however training will be provided for the right person.

• Strong relationship-building and customer management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Highly organised with strong time-management skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of your territory.

• Strong initiative and a proactive approach.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Reliable, punctual and committed to achieving high standards.

• Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.

• Current and valid Australian Driver's Licence.

• Physical capability to lift, move and replenish stock and stand for extended periods.

Benefits

• $60,000 – $65,000 base salary

• $12,000 car allowance
