Exercise Physiologist

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our dynamic team at Vitality Health & Rehab in Darwin, NT. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in helping our clients achieve their health and wellness goals through tailored exercise and rehabilitation programs.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand each client's unique needs and goals

2. Designing and delivering evidence-based exercise and rehabilitation programs

3. Monitoring client progress and adjusting programs as needed to ensure optimal outcomes

4. Collaborating with other healthcare providers, such as physiotherapists and occupational therapists and rehabilitation consultants to provide a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare

5. Educating clients and stakeholders on the importance of exercise and the role of exercise physiology

6. Maintaining detailed records and through report writing to track patient progress and update stakeholders

7. Conduct specialised group exercise classes such as Osteoporosis and Post Natal

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field

2. Minimum 2 years' experience as an Exercise Physiologist, preferably in a clinical or rehabilitation setting

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team

4. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to tailor programs to individual needs

5. Passion for helping people improve their health and well-being

6. Registered or eligible for registration with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)

7. Ability to work in a fast pace environment on an 80% client facing role
