Mortgage Broker Assistant / Para Broker - Graduate Role

About the role

The Mortgage Broker Assistant / Para Broker works alongside an experienced broker, supporting clients through every stage of their finance journey. This role provides exposure to all aspects of lending from credit analysis through to settlement while building the skills and knowledge needed to progress into a Mortgage Broker role.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to client needs throughout the loan process and provide timely and accurate updates to clients and brokers
• Review loan scenarios and conduct credit analysis
• Collect, verify, and manage supporting client documentation
• Prepare and package applications with detailed commentary
• Submit applications via aggregator systems and monitor progress
• Liaise with lenders, solicitors, conveyancers, accountants, and other stakeholders
• Manage valuations, conditions of approval, and document execution
• Oversee the full settlement process, ensuring timely completion
• Provide post-settlement support, including loan amendments and client queries
• Maintain accurate and compliant records in CRM/aggregator systems

About you

• Degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, or related discipline (preferred)
• Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (desirable – or willingness to complete)
• Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management (advantageous – or working toward)
• Current Driver's Licence (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Ability to review financial data and credit scenarios
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; exposure to aggregator/CRM systems (advantageous)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Professional, approachable, and client-first mindset with proactive and team-oriented approach
