About the role
This is a recruitment process for Permanent or Fixed Term appointment at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
We currently have 8.0 FTE available.
We are currently seeking a Clinical Nurse to join our
team.
The successful applicant will be a part of a
multidisciplinary team that provides clinical and professional
expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence-based nursing care is
delivered to patients and facilitates and promotes patient safety
and quality of care. The Clinical Nurse practices within their
scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board’s
Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart and has professional
accountability to the Director of Corporate Nursing Services.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for other ‘similar’ vacancies within SMHS and/or the wider WA public sector. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
