Staff Specialist / Senior Staff Specialist – Anatomical Pathology

ME Medical Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading public health provider in Queensland to recruit an experienced and passionate Staff Specialist / Senior Staff Specialist in Anatomical Pathology. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing, state-wide pathology service in a vibrant regional centre.

About the Role

As a key member of the Anatomical Pathology team, you will:

• Deliver high-quality diagnostic and consultative services across histology, cytology, and non-coronial autopsy
  
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and frozen section services
  
• Supervise and mentor registrars and junior staff
  
• Contribute to statewide service development and clinical excellence
  
• Ensure compliance with ISO 15189, NATA, and NPAAC standards
  
• Engage in teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives
  

About You

You will be a collaborative and forward-thinking pathologist who brings:

• Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or equivalent
  
• Specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA
  
• Demonstrated expertise in Anatomical Pathology, including autopsy and frozen section work
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  
• A commitment to education, research, and continuous improvement
  

What’s on Offer

• Base salary: \$210,332 – \$266,677 + generous allowances
  
• Attraction & Retention Allowance: up to 50% of base pay
