Why this role exists​

The Configuration, Capacity & Availability function is responsible for ensuring that new and existing services and infrastructure are centrally tracked, can deliver the levels of availability agreed with our customers in service level agreements, and that there is sufficient capacity to meet current and future demand. As a process practitioner, you are primarily responsible for maintaining configuration/asset records, and documentary evidence, required to deliver IT services. You may be called upon to support the Service Manager in the delivery of Capacity and Availability services.​

Role Context​

This role has high customer involvement and impact from an operational perspective. You will be working particularly closely with our customers and internal teams to ensure both (a) the integrity of the configuration management database (CMDB), and (b) configuration items (CIs)/assets in the managed IT environments are identified, classified, recorded, tracked, audited and reported on, across their respective lifecycles.​
