What you will be doing in this role
We are seeking a committed and professional Operating Theatre Assistant to join our surgical team in delivering exceptional, patient-centred perioperative care. This is an excellent opportunity to start or grow your career in healthcare while learning from an experienced and supportive team. In this important role, you will assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating theatre, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are fully prepared, sterile and ready for use. You will also play a key role in cleaning and restocking the theatre, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and sterility.
You will provide support in the safe and respectful preparation of patients for surgery, including assisting with patient transfers, positioning, and arranging beds to ensure comfort and safety.
A key aspect of this role is ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and quality assurance standards, contributing to the overall success and safety of surgical procedures.
This is a permanent Mon-Fri role, ideally to work a mix of morning and afternoon shifts between 6.30am and 10.30pm.
