Student Services Officer

Are you a proactive administrative professional who thrives in a vibrant, school environment? My client is seeking a responsive and dedicated Student Services Officer (SSO) to join their team.

In this pivotal front-facing role, you will be the first point of contact for the school community, delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operational running of the campus.

This diverse position balances high-level administrative support with active student engagement. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming & Communication: Welcoming and assisting students, families, and staff, including triaging enquiries to the appropriate person.
• Data Management & Enrolments: Accurately entering enrolment data, recording daily student absences, and following up with families and teachers as required.
• Records Maintenance: Maintaining accurate and confidential student records and filing systems.
• First Aid: Providing first aid to students and staff when required.
• Medication Administration: Managing and maintaining student medication records and administration.

We are looking for a solutions-oriented team player who brings:

• SSO / School Experience: Prior experience as a School Services Officer (SSO) or administrative experience within a school environment is highly desirable.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency in the MS Office Suite and a proven ability to quickly master new platforms and student data management systems.
• Organisational Flair: The ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to the evolving needs of a school environment with a positive mindset.
• Interpersonal Skills: Highly developed communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Current South Australian Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Satisfactory National Police Check (NPC).
• Responding to Risk of Abuse, Harm and Neglect (RRHAN-EC) certification.
• HLTAID012 First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Working school terms, providing a healthy work-life balance.
